Black Hole #6 depicts an outstretched but relaxed hand and fingers overlaying a large black hole. I became somewhat obsessed with black holes and the possibilities / implications that their existence brings about. Black holes provide a 'structureless structure' or canvas on the canvas from which I am able to express the ideas, theories and emotions that are in my mind but I am unable to put into words.
Black hole #6 is a visual description of the moment one realizes they must receive help outside of themselves or be consumed in darkness. The perspective of she to whom the arm belongs is left to the viewer as black holes (being in space) demand that there is no up or down and the truths that make reality manageable don't exist in the vacuum.
